We have decided to put one of our members on a pedestal, her struggles with everyday life and how she manages to keep optimistic and good spirits has just enlighten the ladies on MWC. Her name is Jennifer, on the site she also goes by armywife0605. She has been battling cancer as well as dealing with the daily life of being an army wife. Here is some of her story she shared with us:

"Well, it has been the craziest 3 months of my life. I had my surgery to remove the tumor Dec 21. and they waited until the Feb.1 to start treatment so I could heal up from the surgery. I go to chemo every other week. It is hard with Keith being back from deployment and trying to get use to little kids running around non stop and loud. Chemo week is pretty rough. I go to the hospital 3 times and one of those days is just about all day. I sleep for 4-5 days straight pretty much. I have cold sensitivity so I can touch anything or drink anything cold. Besides the sickness, exhaustion, and sensitivity, the worse thing is the drugs make me feel like a different person completely. Thankfully my mom is here to help with the kids, Keith is trying his hardest to adjust from being deployed 10 months. I have a mom's club here that brings meals during chemo week, and friends that take my kids to play dates and stuff. I go to school for master's of education because the oncologist told me it wouldn't be a good idea (hehe) and started selling Avon because time goes so slow and I am trying to get through the end of this quickly. I really appreciate you guys making me member of the month. I have a lot of tough decision to make in the next few weeks and this website is a nice escape when I am awake and everyone else on the pacific coast is sleeping.

The struggles Jennifer faces on a daily basis is not your typical army wife struggles and for how she manages to keep things together and stay strong she is our member of the month! We are all here with her doing what we can to help her keep that strength alive and keep her motivated as she goes to chemo or the army throws that monkey wrench. She isn't your typical army wife, she is a hero at home
